Selection of athletes in Switzerland for the Trofeo CONI in Crotone (Calabria)

Announcing the sixth edition of the Trofeo CONI Kinder+Sport, which this year will take place in Calabria, in Crotone and Isola Capo Rizzuto, from 26 to 29 September 2019.

Among the many sports events that CONI organises in Italy, "this is certainly the most important one for girls and boys under 14," comments CONI President Giovanni Malagò. After a first provincial selection, followed by the regional one, it is now time for the Final, in which 8 Italian girls and boys living in Switzerland will also take part.

In addition to the delegations of Switzerland and Canada, which will take part in the competitions as guests, the event embraces more than 3,500 young athletes from all over Italy, competing in 46 different sports disciplines (discover all the disciplines and read the regulations).

Football for Switzerland

With the aim of promoting both girls' and boys' activity, the Swiss Delegation of CONI decided this year to take part in the following discipline:

Football (6 children: 3 girls and 3 boys)

born between 01.01.2006 (13 years old) and 31.12.2007 (11 years old)

Technical regulations: Discipline: Football, 3-a-side competition

Organiser: FIGC – Youth and School Sector

Tournament: mixed teams with 3-a-side matches

Open to: ages 11-13 (born between 01.01.2006 and 31.12.2007)

Teams:

made up of 6 players (3 boys and 3 girls), 3 of whom take the field.

Match duration:

20 minutes, divided into 4 periods of 5 minutes each and a break to change ends.

All players on the match list must take part in at least 2 of the 4 scheduled periods, following these guidelines:

• 1st period: 3:3 (boys)
• 2nd period: 3:3 (girls)
• 3rd period: 3:3 (team of 2 boys and 1 girl)
• 4th period: 3:3 (team of 1 boy and 2 girls)
